Lo Sbalzo

The Sbalzo, so called by the “orciatichini” is a waterfall of more or less 10 meters high wedged in the middle of the woods on the Torrente Fosce. The beauty of this force of nature is found not only in the descent of the crystal clear waters, but also in its deep emerald pool. The recommended seasons to visit are: spring, early state and early autumn.

The excursion begins in the medieval village of Orciatico (7th century) made of Alberese stone with one of the most beautiful panoramic terraces in the Tuscany Region. Passing through the city we will take a path of uncontaminated and wild vegetation until we reach the Torrente Fosce where we will find L’Sbalzo and the beautiful emerald green pool.
